‘Heading back’: Two Arsenal World Cup stars will be back in first-team training at Colney today – journalist
Arsenal World Cup duo Takehiro Tomiyasu and Gabriel Martinelli willღ link back up with the first team squa🌊d today.
That is what journalist Charles🌞 Watts has said on his channel, ahead of the Gunners’ weekend clash with🍌 Juventus.
Tomiyasu went out at the last 16 stage wꦿhen his Japan side were beaten by Croatia on penalties after a 1-1 draw in 120 mi🌳nutes.
Martinelli’s Brazil were also beaten by Croatia after a shootout, when the winge💞r did not get off the bench in th෴e whole game.

Watts on Tomiyasu and Martinelli returns
Watts said: “Arsenal are h𓄧eading back today and training at London Colney.
“Bukayo S𓄧aka and Aaron Ram🌼sdale are on their way back and will be at London Colney at some point this week.
“Mentally they need a bit of a break, maybe💙 they’ll just join in after the Juventus game.
“Tomiyasu and Marti🃏nelli, I expect they will be linking up with the squad today at London Colney when everyone gets back and they’ve certainly been in and around the training ground in the last couple of days while everyone else has been in Dubai.”
Martinelli was alway🦹s likely to be used as an impact substitute in Qatar and he must be disappointed he did not get the chance to influence the Croatia game from the bench.
Tomiyasu was scathing in his own assessment of his performance against Croatia, as Japan’s f🥂airytale ended at the last 16 stage.
Just like Arsenal’s English duo Saka and Ramsdale, they must get over World Cup disappointment as quickly as possible and try and keep Arsenal on top of thܫe Premier Leaguꦗe table when the season resumes later this month.
