‘He would be amazing’: Arsenal told to go and sign 35-year-old striker, six years after he rejected Wenger

Andy Townsend has told that Jamie Vardy would be an amazing signing for Arsenal in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Gunners are on the market looking for a new number nine. Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are expected to walk away at the end of their contracts this summer, which leaves the North Londoners without a recognised option up top.
Arsenal will definitely try to bring in a prolific centre-forward this summer, but they will need another striker if both Lacazette and Nketiah will leave the club.
Townsend believes Vardy would be a terrific addition to this Arsenal side.

“He would be amazing for them (Arsenal), I think.
“I really do. I think he would be terrific for them.”

Last year, Wenger was quizzed about his attempt to sign the now-35-year-old.
“I offered him a lot of money at the time,” Wenger told .
“Leicester had just won the championship at the time in 2016, and they absolutely did not want to lose him and offered him a longer contract with approximately the same money if not more.”
