‘He won’t stay’… Club’s CEO says £26m player will leave Tottenham for a bigger club soon
Genoa CEO Andres Blazquez has claimed that Radu Dragusin will not stay at Tottenham Hotspur for a long time.
People close to the Romanian have caused quite a stir recently, haven’t they? Dragusin’s agent, Florin Manea, claimed after his client joined Tottenham that he sees him at Real Madrid next. Now, Blazquez has said something similar.

Genoa CEO says Radu Dragusin will leave Tottenham for a bigger club
Tottenham completed the signing of Radu Dragusin from Genoa last week in a £26.7 million deal ().
Spurs were competing with Bayern Munich to get the Romanian’s signature, and after a few nervous hours, they managed to seal the deal.
Dragusin is a very exciting signing for Spurs, but for whatever reason, everyone who knows him seems to think that Tottenham are just a stepping stone.
Following his agent’s comments earlier this month, his old club’s CEO, Andres Blazquez, also believes Dragusin’s stay at Tottenham will not be a long one.
He told : “Dragusin has great potential and I think he won’t stay too long at Spurs. Radu will reach a European top-five team!
“I’ve been following Dragusin for a long time, and I noticed his path started in Serie A at Sampdoria and Salernitana. We quickly realized that he had great potential to grow. He is a very intelligent, professional boy and he is the only one who has played all the minutes this season.
“I think Tottenham will not be the last destination of his career. I see him at a top-five team in Europe in the future. If he didn’t transfer now, Dragusin would certainly have increased in value and after participating in Euro 2024, we would have sold him even more expensively, somewhere for €40-50 million.”

Dragusin has to prove himself at Tottenham
There’s nothing wrong with dreaming big, but everyone around Radu Dragusin should calm down a bit.
The Romanian’s transfer to Tottenham is the biggest move of his career yet, but people need to understand that he is only a backup at Spurs.
Dragusin will only play if either Cristian Romero or Micky van de Ven are unavailable. They’re both fit now, which means the Romanian will have to settle for a bit-part role.
21-year-old Dragusin may well end up at a bigger club in the future, but that will not happen until he proves himself at Tottenham. That is going to take a while.
