Nottingham Forest are looking ahead to the new season and their first Premier League campaign in 23 years.
And club captain .
The Reds have certainly shown that they are not here to do that during the summer window as they’ve smashed their record transfer fee to bring in Taiwo Awoniyi from Union Berlin for £17.5 million ().

What Forest owner did after being promoted
.
He said: “I think the owner (Evangelos Marinakis) has been fantastic. He stood on the balcony over the Market Square when we had our parade and said, ‘Look, Forest aren’t here to make the numbers up’.”
The 25-year-old Forest man feels that Marinakis is showing ambition this summer and has guided the team to success over the past two seasons.

“He’s shown that by signing the players he has and spending the money he has, and bringing in the calibre of players he has,” he added.
“Everything is structured through the club, from the owners to the directors, from the manager to the players. The DNA of the club is something we need to carry on to next season.
“The success we had in the Championship wasn’t by luck, it wasn’t by just plucking players from thin air and signing them and hoping they’ll do well. Everything was calculated and all the players performed to the top level last year.”
Forest are showing real intent
Forest fans will be thrilled to hear that the club owner is showing real ambition and is clearly intent on keeping them back in the Premier League.
It’s been a long-wait for the Forest faithful to see their team back in England’s top division and they’ll be keen to stay amongst the best teams in the country.
Forest have brought in no less than 11 players already this summer. And despite losing some successful loanees, such as Djed Spence and Keinan Davies, the club are clearly equipping Steve Cooper with a squad to stay in the Premier League.
