He is the player Tottenham sold for just £6m who has now gone on to win nine trophies this decade

Over the years, Tottenham Hotspur have given a multitude of players the perfect start to then go on and have wonderful careers in the game.

For instance, the likes of Luka Modric and Gareth Bale went on to reach the pinnacle of the game after getting their big breaks at Tottenham.

But while not♔ all players will go on to star for the likes of Real Madrid, other players who Tottenham have sold have nonetheless enj𓆏oyed superb careers.

Cameron Carter-Vickers shining for Celtic and United States since Tottenham exit

The player in question is Cameron Carter-Vickers, who is on course to become a Celtic icon despite only jo✨ining the club permanent🌊ly less than three years ago.

Carter-Vickers joined the Tottenham academy in 2009 aged 11, having caught the eyes of scouts while playing for Southend-based youth t🦩eam Catholic United.

He was on the S🍷purs books for 13 years as he rose through the academy ranks to reach the fringes of the Lilywhites’ first team.

Ca🅰rter-Vickers took in seven loan stints while on Tottenham’s books, playing fꦯor Sheffield United, Ipswich Town, Swansea City, Stoke City, Luton Town, Bournemouth and Celtic.

It was at Celtic where Carter-Vickers reall𒅌y made an impact, making 45 appearances for the Hoops as he helped them win the Scottish Premiership and the Scottish League Cup.

Tottenham sold the United 🍎States international to Celtic in 2022 for a reported £6million fee, where he continues to be a major success in green and white.

Carter-Vickers now has three S꧙cottish Premiership titles, two Scottish Cups and three Scottish League Cups toꦿ his name.

In addition, the USMNT defender has won 18 caps for his nation, played at the 2022 World Cup🧜, and lifted the CONCACAF Nations League last yeꦇar.

With Celtic so far ahead ཧin the Scottish Premiership title race, it looks like Carter-Vickers could soon be lifting his 10th trophy away from Spurs in the coming months.

What Cameron Carter-Vickers has said about Tottenham

Carter-Vickers hasn’t spoken specifically ജabout Tottenham as a club, but he did praise one of their former academy coaches back in 202😼2.

“My mum and dad have always been there for me. I’d probably say the academy coach at Tottenham, Jo🀅hn McDermott [too],” t💎he quoted him as saying.

“He’s not there anymore. But as I was coming through the youth teams at Tottenham he was the main guy there. He’s a very go🃏od coach.

ꦿ“I still speak to him now and again. I think he’s involved with the FA now, so he♋’s busy. But we still speak now and again.

“It wasn’t just on foo🤡tball, he just kind of helped people grow, as a footballer ♑and a person.

“I think if you talk to a lot of the academy boys from Tottenham I think they’ll sa꧑y the sa☂me thing.”
