‘He is playing very well’: Antonio Conte wowed by 22-year-old’s display for Tottenham today
Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte praised Ryan Sessegnon after Spurs’ 1-0 win over Wolves on Saturday.
The 22-year-old has become an important member of Conte’s squad since the start of the year.
Sessegnon started Tottenham’s first two games of the Premier League season.

Against Wolves, Conte opted with Ivan Perisic at left wing-back in his starting XI.
Sessegnon then replaced the Croatian – who was holding his calf – in the 75th minute.
The England Under-21 ace helped see out the game for Tottenham, complete with clean sheet.
After the game, ‘s Alasdair Gold asked Conte about Perisic’s display.
The Spurs boss spoke about the 33-year-old’s performance before discussing Sessegnon’s efforts on the day.
Conte then said it was “very important” for the youngster to have “someone like Ivan” who can help guide him.
“It was the same for the rest of the team,” Conte said about Perisic.
“He struggled with the rest of the team in the first half. I have seen the Ivan Perisic I know for Inter.
“I was very pleased with the impact of Ryan Sessegnon. He is playing very well this season.
“It is very important for him to have a player in front of him someone like Ivan because he has his whole career in front of him.”

Sessegnon’s Tottenham future looked very uncertain this time last year.
But now, he has shown to Conte that he has what it takes, and the Italian is repaying the player’s faith.
Sessegnon is still young and learning, so he’ll make the odd mistake.
As Conte says, having Perisic around to mentor him will no doubt help his game massively.
