‘He has transformed’… Pundit says £39m Tottenham player looks so different now
Ange Postecoglou has transformed Tottenham Hotspur as a team.
The north London club may still be just outside the top four, but their style of play is completely different to last term under Antonio Conte.
For the first time in years, Spurs are being given the freedom to attack at will and play positive football, and many players have improved ten-fold since the start of this season.
Speaking on the , Michael Bridges has been discussing Spurs’ recent transformation, and he’s earmarked Pedro Porro as one player he thinks has completely transformed this season.

Porro has transformed
Bridges gave his verdict on the Spaniard.
“When I look at how Spurs are playing at this moment in time, the standout performer for me, and you can talk about other players and things that are going on, is Pedro Porro, he has been absolutely outstanding, his stats are through the roof, the way he has transformed his game under Ange Postecoglou, it shows when you have a player with pedigree and Ange works with them and gives them a new lease of life, you can see the players love working with Postecoglou,” Bridges said.
Brilliant
It has to be said that Porro has been brilliant this season, and he’s been better than many ever thought he could be.
Porro is a player who was signed to play in a back five, and many wondered whether or not he could actually fit into a back four due to his attacking style of play.
Porro’s defensive deficiencies are there for all to see, but, at the same time, he provides a lot going forwards, and he’s truly exciting to watch.
Porro looked like he was going to be something of a flop at Spurs after a ropey first six months at the club, but now, he genuinely looks like one of the best full-backs in the Premier League.
