Jamie O’Hara spoke on about Dele Alli amid rumours linking him with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur in January.

The 25-year-old was once Spurs’ golden boy. He was the present and the future of the club under Mauricio Pochettino, but since the Argentine’s departure, things just haven’t worked out for him.

Alli fell out with Jose Mourinho first and his luck wasn’t great with Nuno Espirito Santo either. A lot of people wondered if Antonio Conte, one of the best managers in world football, could bring the best out of him, but the answer at the moment is a big no.

claimed yesterday that Tottenham are willing to listen to loan offers for Alli next month. O’Hara has urged the midfielder to use the January transfer window to find himself a new home.

Jamie O’Hara: Dele Alli is not in Conte’s plans and needs to leave

The ex-Spurs man told : “He has had a great career at Spurs. [However], he has really fallen away in the last few seasons. He always seems to think he is back and you think he is doing well – he started the season well and then he has fallen away.

“He needs to leave now, resurrect his career somewhere else. Play some football, get that confidence back, get that fire back in his belly because I think that is what he is missing.

“I feel like he has lost his desire and his determination. He has lost his way at Spurs, he is not in the plans and it is time for him to move on.”

O’Hara’s right, Alli, labelled as ‘‘ by Ryan Mason, has to move on.

Everybody knows that the 25-year-old is a talented player. He has proven his class in the Premier League in the past, but it’s just not happening for him at Spurs at the moment. It makes no sense for him to sit on the sidelines almost every week at this stage of his career. A move away would be perfect for him.

It will be interesting to see where Alli ends up if he does leave Tottenham in the January transfer window.

There have been talks about a reunion with Mauricio Pochettino at Paris Saint-Germain, while a move to cash-rich Newcastle has also been tipped by a few. Plenty of other sides will likely be keen on his services as well, which makes the window next month an interesting one for Spurs fans.
