‘He has everything’… Thomas Vermaelen admits he absolutely loves £27m Arsenal player
Former Arsenal player Thomas Vermaelen has now shared some of his thoughts on Mikel Arteta’s playing staff this season.
Despite a run of losses, there’s still a lot to be positive about at Arsenal🍎 this year, who are still competing for two trophies.

Arteta’sಞ side will have taken a huge knock to their confidence, but there’s no reason why they can’t get back on track.
And speaking before the tie against Liverpool yesterday on ‘’, Thomas Vermaelen𓆏 was really impressed with one Arsenal player flourishing under Arteta.
The former centre-back recognised one of his successors in William Saliba, who he thought was an ‘amazing’ talent.
༺Vermaelen, who knew what is was like playing alongside a pacey French centre-back in Laurent Koscielny, thought Saliba had every attribute you need.
ꦇHe said: “Great, great player. He has everything a modern defender needs to have.
𓄧“He’s quick, he’s great at defending, he’s great on the ball. A great partnership with Gabriel [Magalhaes] as well, so that’s very important and he’s doing an amazing job.”
ཧAnd as Arsenal fans lick their wounds after this run of disappointment, they should remind themselves how many elite players they do have.
Thomas Vermaelen thinks Arsenal defender William Saliba is thriving under Mikel Arteta
🐬Arsenal will now travel to Dubai in January for their winter break, a trip that seems very timely.
꧂Although all is very doom and gloom right now, much of the side’s performances against West Ham United and Liverpool were excellent.

꧑Finishing is obviously a big problem right now – but that could be something that changes with an improvement in confidence, and not playing staff.
Although he missed some good chances, Kai Havertz’s𓃲 rare minutes as Arsenal’s number nine should be a cause for optimism, rather than concern.
𝕴The German’s movement was excellent, he was immaculately combining with his teammates.
ಌAnd if he was striking the ball with conviction in front of goal, last night could have been a different story.
♉Thomas Vermaelen could have praised several excellent players in Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal squad, and fans need to keep the faith.
That being said, one of Arsenal’s starters from last night has now admitted he’s unhappy with his playing time.
