‘He has been fantastic’: Sky Sports pundit raves about dazzling Leeds player

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has spoken highly of Leeds United winger Jack Harrison, in conversation with the .

Harrison has been on loan at Elland Road from Manchester City for the past two seasons and has progressed nicely in that time under the tutelage of Marcelo Bielsa.

Last term, the 23-year-old came under some criticism as his form petered out towards the end of the season as Leeds’ automatic promotion hopes fell apart.

However, Harrison has been much more consistent this term, his efforts helping the Whites go top the Championship table prior to the football suspension.

Prutton was discussing whether three Leeds players – Harrison, Kalvin Phillips and Ben White – could go on to make Gareth Southgate’s England squad at Euro 2021.

“We discussed Jack Harrison often last season with the irony perhaps being that he petered out towards the end of the season when Leeds really needed him,” he told the .

“But in the last few games he has been fantastic and he has been fantastic for the majority of the season really.

“I still don’t think Jack would be as close to the England squad as Kalvin or in as much of a conversation about it and he would probably be more slightly under the Ben White category.

“But it’s definitely food for thought and who knows what the new normal might bring?”

TBR View:

Harrison has developed into a dazzling, high-calibre player for Leeds over the past two seasons and he certainly wouldn’t look out of place in the Premier League should the Whites get there.

Admittedly, he remains a Manchester City player and has spoken of his desire to play for the Etihad club under Pep Guardiola, which doesn’t bode well for his Elland Road future even if they do go up.

That said, Man City are spoilt for choice and Harrison will need to establish whether the £20million-rated winger () has a long-term future there – in which case, a newly-promoted Leeds would surely step in.
