‘He can be one of the greatest’… Heung-Min Son says Tottenham have a youngster who can be ‘amazing’
Brennan Johnson is starting to live up to his billing at Tottenham.
The Welshman was Tottenham’s biggest signing of the summer, but he’s taken a little bit longer to get to grips with life at Tottenham than some of Spurs’ other summer acquisitions.
However, he’s now finding his feet and a bit of goalscoring form, and it’s fair to say that he’s really impressed Heung-Min Son since signing for Spurs.
Indeed, speaking on , Son has sang the praises of Johnson, claiming that he has an amazing future and can be one of the greatest players in both Wales and Tottenham history.

Son spoke about his teammate.
“Brilliant, Brennan is a fantastic guy, and also a fantastic player, he has an amazing future. Me and Brennan have an amazing very close relationship. Brennan is still young and I want to help as much as I can because we are almost a similar player type and we play a similar position. I want to share my experience with him and he can be one of the greatest players for his country and for Spurs,” Son said.
Starting to show it
This is high praise from Son, but we can see where he is coming from.
Johnson is starting to show just how important he can be to this Tottenham team, and at the age of just 22, he still has so much room to grow and improve.
Of course, Johnson is far from the finished product and he has plenty of areas in which he needs to improve, but time is on his side, and with a coach like Ange Postecoglou overseeing his development, we can see why Son thinks the youngster has what it takes to reach the very top.
There’s certainly reason to be excited about the young attacker.
