‘Have an agreement’: 30-year-old Arsenal player now set to have medical before sealing exit soon – journalist
.
The two Premier League clubs have been in negotiations over the German goalkeeper for some time, .
, and the deal proving complicated to complete.
This looked like it might open up the way for Leicester to hijack the Leno deal, with the Foxes looking set to potentially lose captain Kasper Schmeichel this summer.

It looks like Fulham have finally got their man though, and once the final details have been finalised, the Cottagers will discuss personal terms with the 30-year-old.
Fulham need to complete Leno medical as soon as possible
Leno’s presence at Arsenal has no bearing on their starting line-up going into the start of the season, with ‘extraordinary’ American Matt Turner signed to provide cover for Aaron Ramsdale.
Fulham, however, will want to have Leno in training as quickly as possible, getting used to playing with his new teammates.
Marco Silva’s side have never been the fastest team to complete transfers, and it’s not known whether Leno will be available for Fulham’s final pre-season match against Villarreal on Sunday.

But Leno represents a brilliant upgrade on current first choice goalkeeper Marek Rodak, and having him in between the sticks for the visit of Liverpool on the Premier League’s opening weekend will be a massive boost for the Championship champions.
In front of him, Fulham have just completed the signing of Kevin Mbabu, who will compete with Kenny Tete for the right-back spot in Silva’s side.
