Chelsea ‘have a chance’ to sign Victor Osimhen at last minute as update from Italy emerges
Another half an hour ticks by on deadline day and another Victor Osimhen update emerges on the scene.
Osimhen has been the subject of intense speculation throughout the transfer window and that has only ramped up further on deadline day.
Al-Ahli are thought to have agreed a £67m deal with Napoli to sign Osimhen.
However, there has been a twist on the saga from this morning with Osimhen apparently waiting for Chelsea to come back in and offer something.
At the moment, it’s suggested Osimhen is indeed waiting for Chelsea and only wants to sign for them.
And according to Sky Sports Italy reporter Filippo Benincampi, Osimhen to Chelsea could be on.

Chelsea get late chance to sign Victor Osimhen
Speaking live on from Italy about the Osimhen deal, Benincampi offered some serious encouragement to the Chelsea camp.
And there was even a suggestion the move to Al-Ahli had completely collapsed.
“Everybody wants to know where Victor Osimhen will end up. It’s difficult to say at the moment, but what we know is that Chelsea have a chance to sign him.
“Osimhen’s proposed move to Al-Ahli might have collapsed, and Chelsea are pushing to sign the Napoli striker.
“It all depends what Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis does in the next few minutes.
“We know Osimhen agreed personal terms with Al Ahli on Thursday but there is still no agreement between he clubs, Napoli want more than what Al Ahli are offering, and that is why Chelsea are keeping their hopes high.”
Can Chelsea pull off the deal of the day?
If any club is going to shock the world in the final hours of the deadline day, it’s Chelsea.
The Blues have been so active all summer that at this point you don’t put anything past them.
The signing of Osimhen would be a superb late signing and with Chelsea also in for Jadon Sancho late in the day, a double deal is not ruled out.
Osimhen is a game-changer for the Blues and if he signs, a trophy could be on this season.
