‘Has the club in his sights’: Manager with 349 career wins would love to take over at Chelsea
Thomas Tuchel has Chelsea “in his sights” and holds a strong desire to manage in the Premier League once again.
That is according to Florian Plettenburg of Sky Germany.
So, what is the situation involving Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea? Let’s take a look…
Thomas Tuchel has Chelsea in mind
Well, the German is leaving Bayern Munich this summer after some disappointing results this season, as the Bavarians sit ten points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
Tuchel – who has wins in football management – has been mentioned as a potential replacement for Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
Now – however – the man from Krumbach is believed to still have Chelsea in his sights, with a feeling of unfinished business in the Premier League.
Plettenburg on X (previously known as Twitter): “Thomas Tuchel has never ruled out a return to FC Chelsea. He still has the club in his sights.
“His greatest short-term desire is to return to the Premier League. He doesn’t see his project there as complete yet.”

Plettenburg added that Tuchel would like to manage Barcelona one day as well – while also holding interest in the new project at Manchester United under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Mauricio Pochettino under pressure
Pochettino could yet keep his job at Stamford Bridge, although the Argentine is under huge pressure – according to the .
It is said that Ruben Amorim of Sporting CP and Roberto De Zerbi have been shortlisted as potential replacements.

Of course, Tuchel is an option too, as detailed by Plettenburg, but it remains to be seen if Todd Boehly would even consider bringing the 50-year-old back to west London after sacking him in September 2022.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as we could witness yet another change in the dugout at Chelsea this summer if Pochettino fails to improve.
