Has Leeds striker Kemar Roofe hinted he will be fit to face Millwall?

Kemar Roofe has failed to play for Leeds United since February 13 after suffering a knee injury during the 2-1 win over Swansea City, but has he just hinted he could face Millwall on Saturday?

The 26-year-old spoke after the injury was announced and stated he was expected to be sidelined for eight weeks. But the former West Bromwich Albion youth player also claimed he could return earlier.

Roofe has been pivotal for Leeds this season, scoring 14 goals in 26 Championship appearances. His contribution to Marcelo Bielsa’s free-flowing attacking brand of football has been just as important.

Now, Leeds fans could be about to see the return of the £3million attacker () ahead of Saturday when the Whites take on bitter rivals Millwall at Elland Road – if that is what his latest Instagram story post is hinting at.

Where will Roofe slot in? Yes, having your best players available is great going into the business end of the season. But having Roofe injured is saving Bielsa a selection dilemma.

Patrick Bamford is in excellent form up front, while Tyler Roberts is shining in the number 10 role. Whenever Roofe eventually returns from his injury, he will have a fight on his hands to return to the starting line-up.
