Harvey Elliott sends Liverpool talent Neco Willams passionate Instagram message

Neco Williams played for the second successive game as Liverpool were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion.

The youngster started in Liverpool’s 2-0 defeat to Atalanta in midweek and kept his place at right-back in Jurgen Klopp’s team.

The young defender is proving a decent backup in the Liverpool squad, with the Reds currently without Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool took the lead through Diogo Jota at the Amex Stadium, after Neal Maupay had missed a penalty.

Klopp’s team had two further goals disallowed and were made to pay for some missed chances when Pascal Gross scored a late spot-kick.

Following the game, Williams received some high praise from a teammate on Instagram.

Harvey Elliott is on loan with Blackburn Rovers and took to social media to message Williams after his performance against the Seagulls.

The youngster earns at Liverpool and is looking like becoming a top player at Anfield someday.

Although he isn’t usually first-choice, his opportunities to play should bode well for him in the future.

Williams is only 19 and earning Klopp’s trust at this stage clearly means he’s on the right path towards stardom.

The defender has played five times for Wales and clearly has the backing of Ryan Giggs on the international stage too.

Eliott has made nine appearances for the Liverpool senior ranks with the majority coming in cup competitions.

Run of games

He will hope to emulate Williams in the future and persuade Klopp that he is ready for a run of games.

Elliott, 17, has claimed three assists during his time at Blackburn, helping Rovers to a 2-1 win over Barnsley yesterday.

For Williams, the challenge will be to continue in the Liverpool side and continue learning his trade.
