Harry Maguire delivers ‘unbelievable’ 10-word Instagram verdict on Arsenal star’s career
Harry Maguire has delivered a 10-word verdict on the career of Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramdale – after his first England cap on Monday night.
Ramsdale, 23, has endured a tumultuous start to his professional career – before eventually joining Arsenal for a fee that could reach £30million.
Starting off at Sheffield United, he joined Bournemouth in January 2017 – five years ago. Loans at Shrewsbury and Chesterfield came next.
Breaking into the Bournemouth side, he was then sold back to Sheffield United after relegation. A second relegation came, back with the Blades.
But in the summer, he somewhat surprisingly moved to Arsenal – who already had Bernd Leno. The move was criticised, given the fee.
However, Arsenal and Ramsdale have proved the doubters wrong. He has overtaken Leno, and starred for the Gunners – earning an England call-up.
Six clean sheets in nine Arsenal outings and only four goals conceded, Ramsdale got another clean sheet on Monday –

There are comparisons that can be drawn between Maguire and Ramsdale’s progression – to where they are now. Maguire also started with the Blades.
Like Ramsdale, he was sold young – moving to Hull. Starring in the Premier League as did Ramsdale, he got a big move to Leicester, then United.
Posting on Ramsdale’s Instagram, Maguire delivered a 10-word verdict on the Arsenal star’s career so far – labelling him “unbelievable”.
