Harry Kane has revealed what Reece James was doing in England training, which paid off big time with his ‘fantastic’ free-kick goal against Latvia.

England defeated Latvia 2-0 to make it two wins from two under Thomas Tuchel to make a perfect start to World Cup 2026 qu❀alifying.

James and Eberechi Eze bꦗoth found the back of the net for the first time in England colours, meanwhile, Kane entered th♒e top 20 men’s international scorers with his 71st goal.

Speaking after the win, the former Tottenham Hotspur striker hailed James’ free kick goal, which opened the s⛄coring for the Three Lions.

Harry Kane claims that England players were watching Reece James shoot from fre🍨e kicks during training the day before the win over Latvia.

The Chelsea defender presu♚mably won the right to take free kicks against Latvia havin෴g impressed during the set-piece practice session on Sunday.

The Bayern Munich forward couldn’t believe the accuracy and power James managed to generate from his effort and hailed it as a ‘fantꦬ💙astic goal’.

Kane told ITV Sport: “The way Reece hits the ball has a lot of topspin. We were watching him shoot in training yesterday. To be fair, the ball was quite far out but I watched it back there and it had incredible pr💎ecision, power and he just gets that lift on the ball. What a fantastic goal.”

It was quite a way to open his account as James found the back of the net from a free kick around 25 yards out from goal, which left Krisjanis Zviedris with 🐎little chance of getting any♌where close.

The Chelsea 🥃captain shares a gr🔥eat relationship with the new boss Tuchel from their time in West London together, and there is the hope that if he can stay fit, James could be a key man for the Three Lions.
