‘Hard for us’: Reiss Nelson says the Arsenal squad were gutted when £34m player left

Arsenal have had to say some emotional goodbyes to some good players in recent times.

The likes of Eddie Nketiah and Aaron Ramsdale left the club this summer, but perhaps the most painful blow was having to sell Emile Smith Rowe to Fulham.

💜Indeed, speaking to the , Reiss Nelson has stated that the Arsenal squad also found it hard to see Smith Rowe go due to how popular he was and how sudden the move was.

Arsenal squad found Smith Rowe departure hard

♋Nelson spoke about how the Arsenal squad felt when Smith Rowe left.

♓The winger says that people at Arsenal found everything hard, claiming that he the team found it hard to see a player like this leaving.

✅“Having Emile at the club already was a big plus. It was nice to see his face again, because he left in pre-season. Just out of the blue which was pretty hard for us to see because we’d been together for a long time and over the last three or four years we’d connected on that deeper level.” Nelson said.

How is Emile Smith Rowe doing at Fulham?

✱Smith Rowe left for Fulham in the summer, and he’s taken to life at Craven Cottage like a duck to water.

ꦫSmith Rowe has been hailed for his performances for Fulham so far♌, and he’s played a bit part in Fulham’s bright start to this season.

🔜Fulham sit in the top-half of the league at the moment, and Smith Rowe has been a big contributor to that.

ꦺAlongside Nelson, Bernd Leno and Alex Iwobi, Smith Rowe has plenty of former Arsenal teammates that have helped him settle at Fulham, and Marco Silva’s side are benefitting from the midfielder’s influence this season.
