Hansi Flick breaks silence over Boateng rumours amid Arsenal and Tottenham talk
Bayern Munich manager Hansi Flick expects defender Jerome Boateng to stay with the Bundesliga giants, despite recent speculation linking him with Arsenal and Tottenham.
The World Cup winner has emerged as a possible target for the Gunners, who have been leaking goals this season.
The club have just lost Calum Chambers for the remainder of the season due to injury, and are in need of defensive reinforcements.

talks have been held about a potential transfer or loan, and that the Bavarians would take 5 million/£12.8 million for him.
Spurs have also been linked (), albeit speculation has not been as strong there.
This weekend the speculation was put to Bayern’s temporary boss Flick, who has seemingly dealt a blow to the north London sides.

He said (): “Jerome came back to training well-prepared, he prepared himself on holiday. So, I am curious what the next week will bring.
“But I will not concern myself with thoughts if he will leave the club or not. He didn’t say anything regarding that and we are constantly in an exchange.
“We have to see how these things develop, but right now I cannot picture it [Boateng leaving]./p>
TBR’s view Arsenal need to push
Flick’s comments are somewhat discouraging, but Arsenal cannot be deterred.

Realistically Boateng is not an elite defender, but he would improve the Gunners at the back.
He is vastly experienced, and seemingly wouldn’t cost too much.
He appears to be a decent option for the short-term and Arsenal need to challenge despite Flick’s stance.
