Habib Diallo seemingly now exit-bound following recent Tottenham links

A teammate of Habib Diallo has suggested the striker is leaving the club, with Tottenham Hotspur having recently been linked with a move.

The 25-year-old caught the eye last season, scoring 12 goals in 27 appearances for Metz, taking his tally to 48 in 112 in total.

Apparently the player had been hoping for an offer from Jose Mourinho’s side.

And perhaps one will now arrive, with Diallo’s teammate appearing to rule out him staying for another season.

: “As long as Habib is there, we want him because we know everything he brought us last season. Habib still needs to keep a certain pace, even if he is in the process of leaving.”

Diallo has just two years remaining on his current contract, and Metz are likely to seek to cash in before he starts to lose value.

that Metz valued their man at around £18 million.

It seems highly unlikely that the star will be staying at Metz for another season, and Tottenham appear to have a chance of landing him.

They’ll need to sell a foreign player to get him, but having Diallo in the squad would be worth it for Mourinho, who needs to relieve some of the burden on Harry Kane.

A long season is in store for Spurs with Europa League football on the cards, and Diallo would be a great option to have.
