Guinea fans react to performance of Liverpool star Naby Keita

Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita grabbed himself a goal on international duty yesterday as he helped Guinea to a 1-1 draw against Chad in an African Cup of Nations qualifier.

Keita struck in the 23rd minute to cancel out Ahmat Abderamane’s opening goal and in the process, it drew praise from Liverpool supporters.

The maestro signed for Liverpool in 2018 from RB Leipzig, costing the Reds £48 million .

Keita has played 67 times for the club since arriving at Anfield, helping Jurgen Klopp’s men to Champions League and Premier League titles.

The 25-year-old has found himself out of favour just lately, with Klopp choosing other options in his midfield engine room.

He was on the bench for the game against Manchester City though and with injuries stacking up an opportunity could be on the horizon.

Keita’s goal was well-taken yesterday and although against lesser opposition, it drew some praise from supporters.

It’s fair to say the man with 35 caps for his country has failed to fulfil his potential at Anfield.

Given his age, however, there could be more to come from the former Bundesliga star.

Here is what supporters were saying about Keita after his latest goal during international duty.
