Graham Smyth says Leeds have accepted an offer for £23m signing overnight
Leeds United are continuing their rebuild and have now accepted an offer for one of their big money signings from the Marcelo Bielsa era.
The Whites are facing a big summer after failing to win promotion last season and have seen a host of their big name players linked with moves away.
Indeed, Leeds have already sold Archie Gray for around £40m to Tottenham, while the likes of Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto continue to be linked with moves away.
However, away from those commonly mentioned players, there are other players who Leeds fans and manager Daniel Farke are less fussed about losing.
One of those players is defender, Diego Llorente.
And according to the Yorkshire Post’s Leeds journalist, Graham Smyth, Leeds have now accepted an offer to sell the Spaniard.

Leeds accept improve offer to sell Diego Llorente
over a move back to Spain and taking to X to update on the situation, Smyth has said that Leeds did indeed accept a bid overnight.
Adding further context to the situation and commenting on Llorente’s time at Elland Road, Smyth also added the following comment.
“It’ll be undisclosed, but wouldn’t expect it to be too far from the figures being reported yesterday. Just an improvement. He came, he passed it quite nicely into forwards’ feet, he looked like a bit of a bomb-scare when defending, he left. Adios.”
Of course, Leeds paid around £23m to sign Llorente in the first place and it’s unlikely they’ll have got that sort of money back for him.
The Spanish international was on loan at Roma last season and did well but will now move back to Spain and play in La Liga for the first time since 2020.
Leeds, meanwhile, will hope the fee received will soften the blow of not winning promotion and potentially take the pressure off of other sales.
