Graham Roberts says whether Tottenham could now win Europa League as he names four Spurs players who were ‘amazing’ in win over Eintracht Frankfurt
Tottenham Hotspur are through to the semi-finals of the Europa League after getting the better of Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday night.
The tie was evenly poised after Spurs and Eintracht drew 1-1 in North London last week, and only one goal was needed to settle the tie.
Tottenham were awarded a penalty after Kaua Santos clattered into James Maddison, and Dominic Solanke converted from the spot.
Graham Roberts, who won the UEFA Cup with Tottenham in 1984, has now rated Spurs’ chances of repeating the feat this year.
The Tottenham legend also singled four Spurs players out for praise for their efforts in the quarter-final second leg.

Graham Roberts hails Tottenham quartet Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro
Roberts took to X after the game to celebrate Tottenham’s victory, calling it a “fantastic result and fantastic performance”.
He then praised Cristian Romero for delivering the kind of display that sets the £42million man out as one of the best.
Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro were also praised by Roberts, who described them as “amazing”.
Roberts then urged Tottenham to “go win this thing”, saying his “eyes have seen the glory”.
When a fan asked Roberts whether it could be 1984 again, Roberts replied: “Yes it could be”.
Who are Bodo/Glimt? Tottenham’s Europa League semi-final opponents profiled
Tottenham are up against Norwegian outfit Bodo/Glimt in the semi-finals of the competition, with the first leg scheduled for 1 May and the second leg set for 8 May.
Bodo/Glimt have dominated Norwegian football over the past six years, winning the Eliteserien title four times and finishing second twice.
They finished ninth in the Europa League group table, having beat the likes of Besiktas and Porto, and reached the semi-finals after victories over Olympiakos and Lazio.
Only a few years ago, Bodo/Glimt caught the attention of European fans when they beat Celtic in the Europa Conference League knockout round playoffs.
They then beat Jose Mourinho’s Roma 2-1 in their quarter-final first leg, though the Giallorossi won 4-0 in the second leg at the Stadio Olimpico.
Bodo/Glimt’s dangerman is Kasper Hogh, a 24-year-old striker who has 11 goals and three assists from 19 outings since last summer.
