Tottenham still yet to find replacement for Mousa Dembele
Dembele was a player Tottenham fans always loved. But he also seemed to be so good that they still do not quite realise just how important he was until after his departure.
Admittedly, his game-time started to drop off before his exit. But it appears fair to say that Tottenham have not yet managed to find a replacement for Dembele.
Their midfield has improved this season. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been a good signing. Oliver Skipp has been a revelation since returning. And Harry Winks has improved since Antonio Conte was appointed.
The arrival of Rodrigo Bentancur could also be an incredibly smart move.
But Tottenham have had no choice but to adapt since losing Dembele, with finding a replacement proving to be an impossible task.
