Graham Roberts hails Serge Aurier’s turnaround at Tottenham Hotspur
Former Tottenham Hotspur favourite Graham Roberts has been singing the praises of Spurs right-back Serge Aurier for turning his career at the club around.
Roberts spent six years at Spurs and is still a fond follower of the club, often commenting on events at the club on Twitter to much fanfare.
This week he has been discussing the club’s full-backs, who have found themselves in good form recently.
He spoke of a conversation with summer arrival Sergio Reguilon, and how the Spaniard was loving working under Jose Mourinho.
Just met top man and loving life at the club and could not speak more highly of Jose.

Roberts also touched on Serge Aurier, who has stepped up massively this season.
The Ivorian has had something of a tetchy reputation with the Tottenham fanbase since his arrival from Paris Saint-Germain. Capable of multiple defensive errors he has often left Spurs supporters frustrated with his naivety at the back.

But last season, after Aurier played through the grief of his brother’s murder, the defender found himself a newfound respect among the Tottenham fans, something Roberts alluded to on Twitter yesterday.
Just talking to a few of the fans and really all appreciating he has shown last season during a tough period in his personal life how he always made himself available to play this is a player who gives his all for the club and been immense this season well done 👏

Not only has Aurier played through great emotional torment, but in recent months his performances have reached their peak regarding his time at Spurs.
Tottenham snapped up Matt Doherty to replace Aurier in the summer but considering the 27-year-old’s form the Irishman might have an uphill battle on his hands when he returns to action.
