Graeme Souness thinks there’s a real chance manager Roy Keane called ‘brilliant’ could take over at Man United

Former Liverpool midfielder turned television and radio pundit Graeme Souness has admitted there’s a real chance manager Roy Keane labelled ‘brilliant’ could take over at Manchester United.

The Red Devils🐻 have endured a rocky season and are on course for their worst-ever finish in the Premier League era.

As such, United boss Erik ten Hag꧙ has been under immense scrutiny and several reports suggest he could move on in the summer.

🙈If that were to materialise, Souness thinks one man has a real chance of landing the role.

Graeme Souness thinks Gareth Southgate could become Man United manager

Speaking on the podcast, Souness thinks Gareth Southgate🐷 could win the EUROs with England this summer and get offered a job, with United a real possibility.

“He will get offered a job,” Souness admitted.

🌃“I could see him going to the Euros and winning it for England this year. I think they have to start as favourites. He has a group of players who are more than capable of winning it, if they are handled right.

🐷“That’s a possibility [going to Man United]. If he goes and wins the trophy, all the big clubs are. I think so [he does well at Man United].”

𓆏Southgate, who Roy Keane labelled , seems to be the overwhelming favourite to take over at Old Trafford, with INEOS, led by Sir Jim Ratcliffe, making him their number-one target.

Erik ten Hag deserves at least another season

ওEvidently, ten Hag has underperformed this season, there’s no getting away from that.

🍎However, he’s also been handed an obscene amount of injuries, particularly defensively, which has to be taken into account.

🔴The Dutchman came in with such high regard and enjoyed a productive first year at Old Trafford, so he deserves another season, with INEOS’ backing, to get it right.
