Graeme Souness says what he noticed about Man United star Alejandro Garnacho that worries him

Manchester United’s win over Coventry City on Sunday didn’t really feel like a win. It was the same among the players, when they didn’t run after Rasmus Hojlund after he scored the winning penalty.

ඣMost of Man United’s players realised the situation, relieved that they had beaten their Championship opponents by the skin of their teeth. United had a 3-0 lead, and look to be cruising at Wembley.

𝔍But Coventry came roaring back. Mark Robins has often overachieved with Coventry and they certainly did to be int he FA Cup semi-finals, pushing United all the way. They made it 3-3, late in injury time.

💟Indeed, they thought they had won it in injury time of extra time – only for VAR to rule Coventry’s fourth goal out for the smallest of offsides. Penalties it was, and Erik ten Hag’s men just about held their nerve.

Even after Casemiro’s woeful first penalty. 𝓰Antony was an exception in chasing after Hojlund, cupping his ears to Coventry players꧙ – completely misreading the situation that United should have won by a distance.

United’s senior members knew that while it was a win, it was the worst possible way to do it. An FA Cup final then, a rare shining light in a dismal season for United. Another shining light, is Alejandro Garnacho.

ಞThe Madrid-born 19-year-old has been sensational at times for United, notably his overhead kick against Everton – or his braces against Aston Villa and Chelsea. He is a superb talent and starring in a bad side.

What Graeme Souness has said about Alejandro Garnacho

Garnacho played 66 minutes of yesterday’s FA Cup semi-final and 🐎Rio Ferdinand criticised boss ten Hag’s decision to take him off💫, with Coventry coming from behind after the Argentina star was substituted.

ꦑBefore the game, Graeme Souness noticed something about Garnacho which he didn’t like. Questioning the teen’s attitude, while complimenting what a talent he is – he didn’t like his earrings, in the warm-up.

👍“He’s an exceptional talent. But I worry for him. Call me a dinosaur, but he’s got two earrings during the warm up. They get too much too soon at Man United. They get so much attention, Man United players.”
