Graeme Souness says Arsenal could really do with player Mikel Arteta sent out on loan
Arsenal loanee Joe Willock has been impressing away on loan, and Graeme Souness believes that the Gunners could do with him in their ranks right now.
The 21-year-old left the Emirates Stadium in February to link up with Newcastle until the end of the season.
Willock has made just seven Premier League appearances for Arsenal this season, with the bulk of his game time coming in the Europa League and League Cup.

However, he’s now thriving on loan at Newcastle, with five goals under his belt from just 11 appearances helping the Magpies in their fight against the drop.
On Friday night, Willock scored in his fourth consecutive game as his side ran out 4-2 winners at Leicester.
He pounced on a Caglar Soyuncu mistake to bear down on goal and slot past Kasper Schmeichel to open the scoring.
Sky Sports pundit Graeme Souness gave his thoughts on Willock’s goal as well as Soyuncu’s mistake, before suggesting that the struggling Gunners shouldn’t have let him go.
“When you’re in the middle of your defence and playing the central man in a three, you’ve got to be aware of your surroundings better than this, son, because he controls it beautifully for Willock. It’s not good enough,” he said, as quoted by .
“Arsenal could do with Willock.”

Watching Willock, a goalscoring midfielder, net regularly for another Premier League team while the Gunners were completely toothless against Villarreal en route to elimination is a bitter pill to swallow.
Arteta has a lot to ponder in the summer in terms of his midfield – surely the likes of Willock and Ainsley Maitland-Niles – who’s been doing well at West Brom as a midfielder- have done enough to warrant looking at in pre-season?
