‘Graceful’, ‘8/10’… Media left amazed by 20-year-old Arsenal loanee’s FA Cup display yesterday

Arsenal youngster Charlie Patino earned positive reviews from the Welsh media after his display for Swansea City in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Charlie Patino is currently spending the season on loan at Swansea City and is enjoying yet another impressive campaign in the Championship.

The 20-year-old impressed for Blackpool last term and has carried his encouraging form into the 2023-24 campaign.

Patino has had a hand in eight goals in 12 appearances for Swansea, with his latest effort coming in a 2-0 win over Morecambe yesterday.

The Englishman netted with a well-taken goal to help the Swans through to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

And it’s fair to say that the Arsenal loanee’s latest display has left the Welsh media impressed.

Media react to Patino’s latest Swansea performance

handed Patino an eight out 10 rating for his display against Morecambe yesterday.

The outlet notes that he was unfortunate not to get another goal on the day and labelled his performance as ‘graceful’.

They wrote: “Took his goal nicely. Unlucky not to open the scoring in the first half.

“Looked comfortable all evening. A graceful performance in the middle of the park.”

Patino has been linked with a permanent move away from Arsenal recently and looked set to leave over the summer.

Indeed, there have even been suggestions that the talented midfielder has been offered to Juventus.

But Fabrizio Romano recently claimed that Patino won’t be on the move in January, with the Gunners set to decide on his future this summer.

Patino is keen to play regularly and at 20, he’s already enjoyed two encouraging loan spells in the Championship.

Mikel Arteta boasts an array of talent in the middle of the park and it’s difficult to see Patino forcing his way into the Arsenal side anytime soon. But it would be a shame for the Gunners to lose such a talented prospect from their academy.
