‘Got to be embarrassed’: TalkSPORT pundit says 25-year-old was a ‘complete waste of time’ at Spurs for two years
TalkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan has labelled Everton midfielder Dele Alli “a complete waste of time” and believes the England international should be “embarrassed”.
The 25-year-old’s stock fell even lower in Everton’s 2-1 defeat at West Ham United yesterday.
However, it wasn’t Alli who took the Manchester United loanee’s spot in centre midfield, it was natural centre-back Mason Holgate.

Alli was an unused substitute in the clash at the London Stadium and failed to get any game time despite the Toffees missing midfielders van de Beek, Allan, Tom Davies, Fabian Delph and Andre Gomes.
If Alli isn’t getting a game when that quintet of midfielders are absent it’s hard to see how he will make his time on Merseyside a success.
The former MK Dons youngster is yet to start a game for the Goodison Park side and his commitment to the cause has been questioned by Jordan.

The former Crystal Palace chairman : “He’s a complete and utter waste of time. He was a waste of time at Tottenham for two years, he’s been a waste of time being signed by Everton. I hope I’m wrong because the boy is talented.
“The kid has got to be embarrassed. I mean is there any level of professional pride.
“If this kid has gone to Everton and is in last chance saloon or getting close to it and this is the by-product of it, there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be champing at the bit, there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be fit and competitive enough to go into that ‘poor’ Everton side.
“To be out of that [Everton side]. Dele Alli you’re looking at someone who is wasting everyone’s time. Notably his own.”
