‘Goodness me’… Pundit says he’d take player Arsenal signed for £42.4m over Kevin De Bruyne
Shaka Hislop has suggested that there is one player Arsenal released that he would actually take over two Manchester City greats.
Of course, this Manchester City side have established themselves as one of the best the Premier League has seen. Should Pep Guardiola’s men clinch the title thꦡis year, they would become the first 🍷since the league’s introduction in 1992 to win four on the bounce.
Kevin De Bruyne has played a massive role in🌠 the Cityzens’ success. The Belgian has now scored 98 goals and contributed 166 assists for City in all competitions.
He has been City’s talisman for a number of years. And it would be massive for Pep Guardiola’s side if he could avoid any knocks in the final week൲s of this campaign.
Former Arsenal star picked ahead of Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva
Obviously, someone who had a similarly important role in the past was David Silva. The Spaniard is ♛unquestionably one of the greatest technicians the Premier ♍League has seen. And the World Cup winner departed the Etihad Stadium with four league titles under his belt.
It was put to Shaka Hislop on that he could take one of Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Mesut Ozil for his team. An🦹d perhaps surprisingly, it was the former Arsenal star Hislop opted for.

“Oh goodness me. [I’ll take] Mesut 🦹Ozil. I bench Kevin De Bruyne and I drop David Silva,” he said.
A surprise choice
Even some Arsenal fans may be a little surprised by Hislop’s take. Of course, Ozil was capable🌄 of the c🐷ompletely ridiculous during his time at the Emirates.
However, his spell in North London never lived﷽ up to expectations. There was huge excitement when he signed for . It was a real statement of intent.
But Ozil was not th𓂃e game-changing signing Arsenal hoped that he would be. The Gunners won the FA Cup four times while he was there. But they rarely challenged for the title in the way they have done for the last two seasons.
And ultimately, Ozil would leave on a free transfer after being frozen out by Mikel Arteta. As time has gone on, Arteta’s decision has been vindicated. And thus, his spell will largely be remembered as a dis🅷appointing one.
Nevertheless, Hislop wou💝ld seemingly put⛦ him above De Bruyne and Silva.
