‘Good feedback’… 18-year-old loanee says Tottenham staff have been impressed with him this season

Alfie Devine has claimed he’s had ‘good feedback’ from Tottenham Hotspur staff on his performances this season.

Speaking to , the Tottenham♕ youngster discussed his decision to head out on loan over the summer.

🔯The talented midfielder is currently spending the season at League One outfit Port Vale after impressing in pre-season at Spurs.

Indeed, Alfie Devine got some minutes under his belt in the 3-2 defeat to West Ham in Australia back in July. But Ange Postecoglou𒁏 ultimately decided to allow Devine to head out on loan to get some valuable first-team experience under his belt.

🏅Devine has impressed for the Valiants so far, registering six goal involvements in 18 appearances in all competitions. And the youngster claims he’s received positive reviews from staff at Tottenham.

Devine claims he’s impressed Tottenham staff this season

✤Speaking to The Mail, Devine admitted he spoke to Postecoglou before heading to Stoke-on-Trent for the season.

🐠“I’m loving every bit of it at the moment,” he said. “Obviously there was the manager change with Ange Postecoglou coming in and he wanted to have a look at every player.

𒁏“I had a good chat with him at the start of pre-season and the decision was made between everyone that it was probably best for me to go out on loan this season. It was the right time to go out.

♚“All the boys and all the staff at Vale have made me feel very welcome and I’ve really settled into the group. The staff at Tottenham are checking in all the time. I’ve had good feedback.”

Devine has previously admitted that ꦕPostecoglou is keeping an eye on his performances for Vale this season.

🅰The 18-year-old was handed his Tottenham debut back in January 2021 in the FA Cup against Marine. He netted with a brilliant finish on the day and he’s continuing to display his potential in League One now. 

✤Devine will undoubtedly be hopeful of breaking into Tottenham’s first team when he returns next summer.

𓆉He will face stern competition for a place in Postecoglou’s squad. But the Aussie has already shown he’s willing to hand youngsters an opportunity providing they are at the required level.
