‘Gonna be a superstar’: Some Spurs fans in awe of 18-year-old’s display today
While Tottenham Hotspur fans were left disappointed with their side’s friendly defeat today, some were impressed by Harvey White’s display on the day.
Jose Mourinho’s Spurs headed to Watford for their final game of pre-season ahead of the 2020-21 Premier League campaign getting under way next week.
However, it wasn’t a good day at the office as Tottenham ended their pre-season programme with a 2-1 loss at Vicarage Road.

The Hornets were two goals to the good by half time thanks to Domingos Quina’s long-distance opener and Andre Gray’s converted penalty.
Although Son Heung-min pulled a goal back from the penalty spot on 79 minutes after Erik Lamela was brought down in the box, Spurs couldn’t conjure up an equaliser.
White was one of Tottenham’s better performers on the day, the 18-year-old putting in a tidy performance in a midfield anchor role.
He not only made a good sliding tackle on Gray but also set Lamela on his way with a neat ball that led to the penalty.
Here is what some Spurs fans on social media made of White’s performance:
Harvey White and Dennis Cirkin are already nailed on first team caliber players even after three games.
It’s clear they’re good enough.
Same for Carter-Vickers.— JC McLean (@JCMSpurs)

White, a central midfielder who can also fill in at left-back and centre-half, has come through the ranks at Tottenham and made his senior debut at left-back during the 2019 pre-season tour of Asia.
Though he is yet to make his competitive senior debut for Spurs, surely it’s only a matter of time before Mourinho gives him a chance in the league or cup.
