‘Going to be such a great player’: Some Wolves fans think 19-year-old is destined for stardom
A number of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans have spoken highly about Ki-Jana Hoever following his performance in Thursday night’s FA Cup defeat.
The 19-year-old joined Wolves from Liverpool in September, swapping Anfield for Molineux for a reported £9million fee and penning a five-year contract.
Hoever has made 10 competitive senior appearances for Wolves, including seven in the Premier League, and was in action for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side against Southampton in the FA Cup.

It wasn’t a good evening for Wanderers as they fell to a 2-0 defeat at Molineux, with Danny Ings netting in the 49th minute and Stuart Armstrong making sure of victory in the 90th.
Most Wolves players struggled on the night, but Hoever’s display was deemed one of the few positives by fans.
While his attacking play could do with some work, he did well defensively, making three tackles, two interceptions and seven clearances.
And some Wolves fans praised his efforts on social media:
Really do like Hoever, going to be such a great player

Hoever has played class today.

Least we have no distractions in securing our 14th place position. I jest as you have to. A cup exit does feel like a real uneventful season to finish.A positive : Hoever. Thats it

Think you could play Fabio and Jose for hours and they still wouldn’t score ,can’t see either scoring only three players that did ok was hoever ,kilman and saiss ,the rest were tripe

Good shout about Hoever, he played well. Nuno bottled it with that starting 11 though, go with the best team, go for the cup and get a winning streak.

That makes only 11 fit senior players at Premier League quality. Hoever’s close to it, Silva, Ait Nouri, Otasowie and Vitinha are too young, Ruddy’s a good backup but nowhere near Rui, Marcal’s OK but always injured, Jose’s unproven and MGW just isn’t good enough.

Ki-Jana Hoever will be some player.
If he’s still with us in five years time we’d have done well

Wolves face Southampton once again on Sunday, this time heading to St Mary’s for a Premier League 12pm kickoff.
