Gilberto Silva and Bacary Sagna react as Arsenal secure second successive win

Arsenal secured a second successive Premier League win over Brighton on Tuesday night just days after beating Chelsea at The Emirates – and both Gilberto Silva and Bacary Sagna have reacted to the victory on Twitter.

The Gunners strolled past Chelsea with a 3-1 win thanks to goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Granit Xhaka and Bukayo Saka – and both Saka and Lacazette combined to beat Graham Potter’s Brighton on the south coast.

Teenager Saka went on a run and reached the byline before pulling the ball back to substitute Lacazette, who finished with aplomb – netting his seventh goal of the season in all competitions, remaining Arsenal’s top scorer.

It has been a poor season for Arsenal but there are signs that Mikel Arteta’s men are finally beginning to overcome their early issues. Both Silva and Sagna reacted on Twitter following the win, which sees Arsenal climb to 13th.

TBR’s view – Arsenal back on track, but is it too late for top four?

Ray Parlour stated on TalkSPORT on Wednesday morning that he believes a place in the top four is probably out of sight for the Gunners following a dismal start to the campaign that has seen the Gunners lose eight times.

However, European football is not off the table. The Gunners may fail in their pursuit of catching the Premier League’s best teams – but they are certainly more than capable of getting into fifth, sixth or seventh.
