Tottenham Hotspur fans feel that Joe Rodon is about to make his first start under Nuno.

Rodon to start?

Rodon has struggled to make an impression under Tottenham’s new boss, which owes partly due to injury.

However, the Welshman is now back in full training with his country after recovering from injury.

And there is a feeling among Tottenham fans that his importance to the team is about to greatly increase.

Spurs are set to be without both Davinson Sanchez and Cristian Romero at the weekend, after they both travelled to red list countries over the international break.

That means that Tottenham’s central defensive options look extremely limited for the weekend, with Spurs fans predicting that Rodon will come in.

Under pressure

If Rodon does start the pressure will be on him to impress straight away.

Tottenham are yet to even concede a goal in the Premier League, so Nuno may well be frustrated at having to break up Sanchez and Dier’s partnership.

If Tottenham can beat Palace, they will remain at the top of the table, which is a better start than many expected after a turbulent end to last season.
