‘Gets better and better’: Some Rangers fans excited by star after 0-0 pre-season draw with Brighton
Rangers played out a goalless draw in pre-season on Saturday evening – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter praised their young talent Nathan Patterson for his display.
The Scottish champions drew 0-0 with Premier League opposition Brighton at Ibrox.
Despite the fact supporters were starved of goalmouth action, Gers boss Steven Gerrard got some more minutes into the legs of his squad.
They now bizarrely turn their attention to another pre-season friendly that takes place on Sunday, as they face European giants Real Madrid.
It’s the last friendly they will play before hosting Livingston on 31 July for the opening day of the league season.

Patterson a star in the making for Rangers
A selection of Rangers supporters on social media were full of praise for their academy graduate Patterson after his weekend performance.
The Glasgow-born defender played 71 minutes against Brighton, impressing a lot of the fanbase.
He’s an all-action right-back with incredible stamina, aggression and pace to his game.
However, he’s the second-choice full-back behind club captain James Tavernier.
Patterson will be soaking up everything he can from 29-year-old teammate Tavernier, so he looks like he can be his natural successor.
For now, he’s such a brilliant and reliable option for Gerrard to have up his sleeve in the squad.
