‘Get well soon baller’, ‘Transformed our attack’ – Newcastle fans gutted as Miguel Almiron is ruled out for the season
Newcastle United’s club-record signing Miguel Almiron has been ruled out for the season, .
Almiron suffered a hamstring injury which forced him off after 64 minutes against Southampton at the weekend. And the midfield playmaker will miss the final three matches of the season due to this injury blow.
The Paraguay international could make a return for this summer’s Copa America but Newcastle will liaise with the South American country’s football association.
Almiron moved to Newcastle from Atlanta United during the January transfer window. He cost around £20m () to break the club’s transfer record.

Since moving to Newcastle, Almiron has been a key player in helping his team move up the Premier League table and confirm their Premier League safety.
The 25-year-old is yet to score or provide an assist in 10 games but he has looked lively as he finds his feet in the English top division.
Newcastle fans flocked to social media to send him well-wishes and thank him for his role in their survival. The supporters want to see him back and at his best next season.
Here are some of the best tweets.
Sad news but to be honest since he arrived the team has been 100% better.i think without him Newcastle would of got relegated months ago. now it’s time to look forwards to next season with more hope and to enjoy the summer

Love everything about this lad and hope he comes back ready for next season. Now let’s see what Muto can bring to the table!

He’s done his part in keeping us up for next season so fair play to the lad. Now would be perfect to get Shelvey or Muto back for some regular game time.
