‘Get it done’: Some Everton fans react to fresh links with 63-year-old manager

Fresh manager links are naming Everton as a possible suitor for 63-year-old boss Lucien Favre – and some Toffees fans on Twitter are positive about the speculation.

The Merseyside club have been linked with countless names in the past month in their bid to name Carlo Ancelotti’s successor. However, a new potential candidate has emerged.

, Premier League side Crystal Palace have held “positive” discussions with Swiss manager Favre.

Apparently, Palace could face competition though from Everton for his signature.

The report says the Toffees have now expressed an interest in Favre, who would like to work in the Premier League for the first time in his career.

Everton are still tying to find someone to replace Ancelotti. Likewise, Palace need a replacement for Roy Hodgson.

Favre is available and has been out of work since December.

He was sacked by German giants Borussia Dortmund, but he left his ex-club with an impressive win record of 62 per cent in 110 games in charge.

Everton need to move quickly if they want Favre

With Palace already in talks for Favre, surely Everton need to quicken up interest if they are genuine about pursuing him.

It’s worth noting though that more fresh reports on Monday night suggested that the Merseyside club are closing in on a move for Rafael Benitez.

The , as relayed by The Boot Room, claim Farhad Moshiri will offer ex-Liverpool boss Benitez the manager’s position at Goodison Park.

There has been widespread anger from the Everton fanbase regarding Benitez rumours. However, it looks like that may not get in the way.

A selection of Everton fans on social media are leaning though towards newly-linked manager Favre.

It seems like time is running out to get a new man settled in before next season.
