The injury problems have been mounting up and with three first-team defenders out, Gerrard is facing selection issues ahead of Wednesday’s encounter.
Barisic has enjoyed the lion share of starts at left-back, whilst both Helander and Balogun played a part in the club’s last game against bitter rivals Celtic.
The news leaves the club struggling at center-half with just Connor Goldson and Jack Simpson available, and with the Ibrox Stadium giants not having to worry about fighting for the title, the Livingston fixture will be comfortable than it could’ve been.
With such a miraculous achievement mere weeks away, Gerrard will be looking to continue the side’s momentum in the final two games of the league season. The injury scenario doesn’t help the Liverpudlian as the club chasing footballing history.
