Germany international Brandt set to snub Liverpool and Tottenham this summer
Tottenham and Liverpool target Julian Brandt prefers to remain in Germany this summer,
They that the Champions League finalists are both keen on the German international, who has a release clause of a bargain £21.5m, but have seen Borussia Dortmund move ahead in the race.
Brandt has also apparently not closed the door on remaining at current club Bayer Leverkusen, provided they make it into the Champions League next season.
They could still do that, although they are on the back foot because they need to better Borussia Monchengladbach’s result on the final weekend of the season.

It’s not often that a young, promising playmaker has such an appealing release clause but if Brandt doesn’t want to leave Germany, there’s not much either Jurgen Klopp or Mauricio Pochettino can do.
That’s a blow though, as Brandt would have been an exciting addition and his quality is underlined by the fact that Joachim Low left Leroy Sane out of the Germany squad for the World Cup in order to include Brandt.
Both the Reds and Spurs will however be fully focused on the Champions League final for the time being.
