Gary O’Neil pushing Wolves to sign £9m player after his move to Everton collapsed

Wolves are still trying to replace Pedro Neto with just eight days to do so.

Gary O’Neil is keen to ensure his side do notꦚ embark on the 2024/25 campaign without a dangerous winger who can replicate what the Portugal intern🐎ational offered, and a preferred target has now been identified after his move to Everton fell through.

So, who do Wolves now want to replace Pedro Neto? Let’s take a look…

Wolves want Wilfried Zaha to replace Pedro Neto

A story from now states that Wolves are keen to sign Wilfried Zaha – with Galat🥃asaray happy to s♕ell the Ivory Coast international.

It is said that the 31-year-old almost joined Everton earlier in August before the deal collapsed, with Wolves now keen to t🦄ake advantage.

The Sun explain how those at Molineux are huge fans of Zaha, and would be willing to take the Ivorian on loan for th൩e 2024/25 campaign with a view to making the deal permanent next summer.

Furthermore, it is also said that O’Neil is personally an admirer of the Crystal Palace academy graduate, and is pushing Wolves to sign him – although any deal is unlikely to💎 materialise before Sunday’s Premier League clash against Chelsea.

Galatasaray are willing to sell Zaha forꦦ £9m – with Crystal Palace and Leicester also showing interest.

The man from Abidjan scored ten goals and also provided five assists in 42 appearances last seaso🍌n as Galatasaray pipped Fenerbahce to the Super Lig title.

Interestingly, West Ham are also bღelieved to be keen on signing Zaha this summer.

Deal may not be possible

A story from recently stated that the Galatasaray No.14 will find it tough to seal his desired return to the Premier League due to “the tax implications associated with a move back ꦡfrom Turkey” – so the matter may be out of O’Neil’s hands despite his admiration for the winger.

If a solution is found to these tax issues – however – you can be sure that Zaha’s name will feature heavily in transfer deadline day rumours, with Wolves, West Ham, Crystal Palace and Leicesteꦬr all 𝕴ready to offer him an escape route out of Istanbul.
