Gary Neville thinks £30m player will be ‘completely dejected’ after what’s happened to him at Manchester United
Gary Neville believes Harry Maguire will be ‘completely dejected’ after what’s happened to him at Manchester United.
Harry Maguire has endured a difficult past 18 months at Old Trafford after falling out of favour under Erik ten Hag.
The 30-year-old was previously a key player under former bosses and was even the club’s captain for three-and-a-half years.

It’s fair to say that Maguire’s form has dropped off massively over the past couple of years and it’s led to him playing a backup role under Ten Hag.
Indeed, the Dutchman even named Bruno Fernandes as Man United’s new skipper last summer, with Maguire being stripped of the captaincy.
And Gary Neville believes Maguire will be gutted after a difficult spell in Manchester.
Neville says Maguire will be ‘dejected’ at United
Speaking on , Neville was asked if he believes Maguire will be helping Marcus Rashford after the United forward has made the headlines for all the wrong reasons of late.
“I don’t think he would be,” Neville told Stick To Football. “He’s not even playing. Harry has been undermined as a leader in that dressing room by having the captaincy taken away.
“He must feel completely dejected by what’s happened.”

It has been some drop-off for Maguire after he was key man under the likes of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
But to the Englishman’s credit, he’s proven to be an important option for Ten Hag this term.
With injuries to several key players in defence, Maguire has often been called upon once again.
He even picked up the Premier League Player of the Month award back in November after a run in the starting XI.
While he will be disappointed to no longer be a regular at Old Trafford, he turned down a move away from the club last summer.
