Gary Neville says Manchester United player’s passing was so poor against Forest
Gary Neville gave his verdict on the passing quality of Christian Eriksen on Saturday as Manchester United were beaten by Nottingham Forest at the City Ground.
Erik ten Hag’s men suffered their fourth defeat in six games in all competitions. A late Morgan Gibbs-White strike settled the contest. The winning goal came moments after Christian Eriksen had had a decent effort on goal s🌠aved by Matt Turner.
The 31-year-old kept his place in the starting lineup following the dramatic 3-2 win over Aston Vꦚilla. However, this time, there was to be no dramatic comeback. And Eriksen appeared to struggle with the battle in the middle of the park.
Gary Neville criticises Christian Eriksen during Manchester United loss
Certainly, Gary Neville was not impressed by the Dane’s display. The former Manchester United captain told (broadcast on 30/12; 19:18) thatও he thought that Eriksen had been poor on the ball after an attempted pass went all the way through to Turner in the 90th minute.

“His passi🏅ng hasn’t been good at all today, Christian Eriksen. And he’s one of the very best with the ball at his feet,” he said.
Visitors had more than enough quality to leave City Ground with three points
In fairness to Eriksen, he was still 💞one of United’s most creative players in the defeat.𒀰 According to , he managed to make three key passes in the contest. No player on either side managed to contribute more.
And actually, only Raphael Varane and Jonny Evans made a greater number of accurate passes than Erik♕sen.
But it really does feel as though almost no-one in 𝓀the current team is going to drag Manchester United out of the rut they find themselves in.
Kobbie Mainoo has been a bright spark. And Alejandro Garnacho has come u༒p with some moments of quality.
But Manchester United went to the City Ground with a lineup which included Varane, Eriksen🌜, Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Ra🌜shford. They had the quality to win the game.
A lot clꦚearly has to change before United get back on track. The worry is that the same thing has b꧒een said for so many years now. And each change only seems to take the side further and further away from where they once were.
