Gary Neville says he can’t believe Fabinho mistake in Liverpool draw
Gary Neville that he cannot believe how easily Fabinho was beaten by Kevin De Bruyne for the opening goal Liverpool conceded in their dramatic clash with Manchester City on Sunday.
The Premier League title race remains in the balance after a brilliant game at the Etihad Stadium. The Reds came from behind on two occasions to earn a point against the Cityzens.

Both sides produced moments of sheer magic. But there were also moments when the teams failed to cover themselves in glory. And clearly, Neville felt one such moment came in the opening minutes as De Bruyne put the home side in front with a deflected effort.
The Belgian got past Fabinho before getting the strike away. And the Sky Sports pundit clearly felt that the Liverpool midfielder did not do anywhere near enough to try and prevent De Bruyne from scoring.

“They were cut open by De Bruyne passing it through Liverpool’s defence to Jesus. But you think the danger’s passed, but it wasn’t. I can’t believe how easily De Bruyne went past Fabinho,” .
Tough day at the office for Fabinho in Liverpool draw
It certainly was not one of Fabinho’s best days in a Liverpool shirt. Of course, he scored that stunning goal against the Cityzens in the title-winning campaign.
He struggled in that midfield battle and was beaten on a number of occasions. And Manchester City fans will probably argue that he was lucky to stay on the pitch for a nasty-looking challenge.
It was definitely one that looked awful when slowed right down. So Fabinho probably could not have expected the decision to be overturned if he was dismissed.
He will bounce back however. Liverpool remain in the title race, even if they did not get the result they wanted.
