Gary Neville says 24-year-old Aston Villa player is truly ‘electric’
Aston Villa attacker Moussa Diaby earned praise from Gary Neville as the Villans drew 1-1 with Sheffield United on Friday night.
The first Premier League game of matchweek 18 saw Unai Emery‘s Villans🀅 dominate proceedings against the relegation-battling Blades at Villa Park.
Despite their dominance, Sheff Utd🅷 opened the scoring on 87 minutes and Villa had to come from behind late on to salvage a share of the spoils.

ꦓGustavo Hamer got the better of John McGinn on the byline and his low pass into the box found former Villa gem Cameron Archer, who slotted in from close range.
🌞Although the Villans were staring in the face of defeat, Nicolo Zaniolo popped up with a neat heater in the 97th minute following a superb ghosting run.
Diaby was lively in and around the box and had several decent chances to get on the scoresheet, prompting Neville🀅 to sing his praises at half time, along with those of Leon Bailey.
ꩵ“The big threat is with Diaby and Bailey,” he said on . “They are really dangerous, Diaby in particular is electric.”
Moussa Diaby a top player but should look to shoot more – TBR View
🐼The 24-year-old didn’t manage to get on the scoresheet, however, often being too hesitant in the final third and not making the most of openings.
𝐆Diaby ended up coming off in the 74th minute alongside Lucas Digne, the duo making way for Jhon Duran and Alex Moreno.
𝄹The France international is a top player, but he’s been a bit below par of late. It’s good that he’s selfless and looks for the pass, but he could do with shooting more.
💧Also, much of his best play comes out wide rather than through the middle. Let’s see whether Emery looks to play him out wide after Christmas.
ꦍVilla are next in action on Boxing Day, taking on Manchester United at Old Trafford in an 8pm kickoff.
