Gary Lineker claims he knows who the four ‘leaders’ in Arsenal’s squad are now
Gary Lineker has named the four players who he thinks are real leaders at Arsenal right now – Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice, William Saliba and Bukayo Saka.
The Gunners are on top of the Premier League table. They have been very good so far, but there’s still a level or two they can go up to, and the four leaders Lineker has named will be the ones to push them higher.

Martin Odegaard is Arsenal’s captain, and he has done a tremendous job in that role.
The Norwegian is still just 24 years old, but he has proved to be a real leader and has led this young Gunners side from the front with his performances.
Odegaard’, however, isn’t the only one in Arsenal‘s leadership group, and Lineker is convinced he knows who the rest of them are.
The pundit believes that along with Odegaard, defender William Saliba, summer signing Declan Rice and attacker Bukayo Saka are all leaders at the club right now. Lineker then heaped huge praise on the latter.
He said on : “I can see leaders in that team. Declan Rice is one, Saliba at the back is another, Martin Odegaard obviously. Even Saka in a way.
“I mean, what a wonderful player he is. The other night again, his decision-making. Every time you are watching the game you go ‘do it’ and he does what you can see. When you are watching a game, that is obviously a lot easier than when you are playing, as you can see the whole picture.
“Lovely footballer. He’s so good. His delivery from set pieces as well, everything about him.”
Arsenal winning the Premier League would be a phenomenal achievement
Arsenal came ever so close to winning the Premier League title last season. Even though they slipped up in the end, they deserve immense praise as they did so well despite having the youngest squad in the division.
This season, following the departures of Granit Xhaka and Rob Holding, Arsenal’s squad is younger, but they are far more equipped to go all the way in the title race.
Martin Odegaard, Bukayo Saka and William Saliba showed great quality last season, and Mikel Arteta has now added Declan Rice into the mix, and he has been sensational.
Arsenal have every chance of winning the league this season, and if they manage to do it with such a young squad, it would be an extraordinary achievement.
