Gary Cahill says player Tottenham sold for £50m is the fastest he has ever seen
Tottenham Hotspur have had some of the fastest players in Premier League history over the years.
The likes of Gareth Bale and Aaron Lennon were absolute speed demons, while Micky Van de Ven is frighteningly quick in the current team.
However, perhaps the fastest player Spurs ever had is someone they sold for .
Indeed, speaking to , Gary Cahill has named Kyle Walker as the fastest player he’s seen.

Kyle Walker is the fastest player Gary Cahill has seen
Speaking to ESPN, Cahill was tasked with building his ultimate footballer.
Of course, Cahill has played with some exceptionally quick players during his career such as Theo Walcott for England and Fernando Torres for Chelsea, but he still picked Walker as the fastest player he’s seen.
“Speed?” Cahill was asked.
“Kyle Walker,” Cahill said.
“Skill?” Cahill was asked.
“Messi,” Cahill said.
“Passing?” Cahill was asked.
“Steven Gerrard,” Cahill said.
Kyle Walker’s pace is incredible
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard something like this.
Jermaine Jenas recently named Walker as the fastest player he’s seen, and it’s not at all surprising to hear Walker’s teammates speak about him in this way.
The full-back is genuinely one of the quickest players in the Premier League to this day, even at the age of 33.
Walker’s pace made him an absolute star at Tottenham, while the coaching of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City took him to that next level.
Now, Walker is very much in the conversation for being the best Premier League right-back in history, and he’s much more than just a speedy full-back.
There aren’t many players in world football who can say they’ve pocketed both Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr, but Walker can confidently say that he’s had the better of both of those players.
Walker is an all-time great right-back, and his pace has played a huge part in his successes for both Tottenham and Man City.
