Gary Cahill names the ‘incredible’ Spurs player who’s been a ‘strange’ sight in recent weeks
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been described as “incredible” by Gary Cahill ahead of their Premier League game on Sunday.
Jose Mourinho’s table-toppers head across London to face Crystal Palace, who currently sit 13th in the standings.
One of Spurs’ biggest strengths at present is their fearsome front line, which has scored 23 goals in just 11 league games, with both Kane and Son Heung-min in the form of their lives.

Kane’s talents as a centre-forward are well known, but this season he’s been operating deeper to get on the ball and create opportunities.
Jose Mourinho’s decision to utilise the Spurs talisman in this manner has worked wonders, the 27-year-old registering 14 goals and 13 assists from just 18 appearances this term.
Palace defender Cahill, who has played alongside Kane for England, thinks it’s a “little bit strange” to see his compatriot playing deeper, but acknowledges that it’s working well.
“At the moment now they (Son and Kane) are phenomenal, they’re in great form and I think they work together so well,” Cahill told .
“It’s a little bit strange – you’re seeing Harry Kane coming a lot deeper in a lot of positions.
“I think obviously Son’s got some great pace – he’s got the legs to get in behind you, and Harry’s finishing and obviously his passing, his awareness, his whole all-round game really is incredible.
“They’ve been playing for a long time together now, so they know each other inside and out, and I think it’s just flourishing at the moment.
“And especially as well the team is giving them a platform to go and express themselves, because the team at the minute is looking really solid, really confident and they’re really starting to build a bit of momentum now.”
TBR View:
It’s frightening to see just how Kane is developing under Mourinho – not only is his goal tally as good as ever, but his assist tally is also shooting right up and, as Cahill said, his overall play is simply unbelievable.
Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson recently that Kane is on the way to becoming the best player in the world given he’s now doing what Kevin De Bruyne does, on top of his usual No. 9 duties.
Factor in his defensive contributions and we’re talking arguably the most complete footballer in recent times – hopefully this season he can add Premier League champion to his CV.
